Benchmarked against world best practice approaches, the Virtual Shipyard program identifies and bridges the digital capability gaps of 14 small to medium size enterprises looking to participate in national and global naval shipbuilding projects.
Over the course of the program, these digital champions will learn how to collaborate, comply, plan, design and build in a 3D virtual environment, bringing them up to world class Industry 4.0 maturity.
Participants will walk away from the program ready to adopt new technologies and deliver solutions, placing South Australia on the map as a digital-ready supply chain.
The Virtual Shipyard also facilitates critical knowledge transfer from global experts to the University of Adelaide, University of South Australia and TAFE South Australia to build a curriculum for future independent training delivery.
